TIPS® Alcohol Service Certification (On-Site at GBA)

Become a certified professional in responsible alcohol service with our onsite TIPS® training — held exclusively at Gorgitenders Bartending Academy (GBA) and valid for three years. This focused 5-hour class is ideal for individual servers, bartenders, managers or entire staff teams seeking to enhance safety, compliance and service skills behind the bar.

What you’ll learn:

  • Legal responsibilities and liability for alcohol service, including laws regarding under-age sales, sales to intoxicated persons, and third-party sales.
  • How alcohol affects behavior, blood-alcohol content (BAC), intoxication cues and how to identify and intervene safely.
  • Effective ID verification, guest-evaluation techniques, safe-service practices, and documentation of incidents.
  • Service-skill integration: delivering excellent guest experiences while protecting your venue from liability and strengthening its professional standard.
